An Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) is established under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka, to ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunities, resources and services — regardless of background, identity or any other potential source of discrimination.
The EOC creates an inclusive and equitable environment by addressing issues of inequality and discrimination. It ensures that students from under-represented communities — Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and economically weaker sections — are given proper facilities and opportunities to succeed.
Its ultimate goal is to foster an environment of fairness and dignity for all members of the institution.
