About the department
The Department of Computer Engineering at C Byregowda Institute of Technology, Kolar, was established in 2023 with a mission to develop future-ready professionals and researchers in the rapidly advancing fields of computer science and technology. With an intake capacity of 60 students, the department offers a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to address the evolving needs of the IT and technology sectors.
The department is headed by Dr. Ramesh Kumar V, a distinguished academician and researcher with over two decades of teaching and research experience. Under his visionary leadership, the department promotes innovation, critical thinking, and technical expertise, enabling students to excel both academically and professionally. The Department of Computer Engineering is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced computing labs featuring cutting-edge hardware and software, smart classrooms that facilitate interactive learning, an innovation hub for research and project development, and an extensive library offering a wealth of resources.
