Functions and responsibilities
- To guide and encourage the students to avail the facilities of the institution such as drinking water, clean toilets, recreation, playgrounds, canteen etc.

Objective
To facilitate a positive, self-directed student experience by providing support, guidance and empowering the students to become proactive lifelong learners to achieve their full potential in society.
Standard Operating Procedure for Student Welfare Committee
- Committee supporting the students to facilitate optimum learning.
- Developing good relationship among students and the other stakeholders, teachers, administrative staff and ministerial staff in the campus.

- Conducting meetings periodically to discuss students’ welfare and how it can be better over the years.
- To provide a platform for students to voice their opinions, concerns and suggestions.
- To organize various events and activities that promotes physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of students by seeking permission and sends the same to the IQAC for approval.
- To provide guidance and support to students facing personal or academic difficulties.
- Organizing special classes for slow learners – Remedial Coaching

- Providing platforms for leadership development through Departmental associations and General and Special Subject related Clubs.
- At the end of the academic year the annual and action taken report are to be submitted to IQAC.
Minutes of meeting Procedure
- All meetings shall be convened by the chairperson/convener with prior notice to all committee members.
- Minutes of meeting will be noted down by the convener and same will be discussed with committee members.
- It is compulsory for the members to attend the meeting.
- Maintenance of necessary records of the committee in a file: Notice/Photos/Statistical data /Minutes of meeting/Prepare brief report on events.
- Meeting: The Committee should meet at least once in every semester.
- Quorum:The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.
- Record Keeping: The agenda, minutes of meeting and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format (scanned copy).
- Reporting:A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC.
