Frequency of the meeting Twice in a year or as and when required

 Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Invite prospective companies to campus for recruitment.
  2. Arrangement of Personality Development Workshops.
  3. Trains students in aptitude tests, interview techniques, group discussions, Resume Writing.
  4. Organizes industrial visits/Recreational and Educational Tour.
  5. Guide students wishing to pursue Higher Education.
  6. Provide in-plant training at industries.
  7. Collect appointment letters and distribute them to selected students.

Objective

To strengthen the technical and personal skills in arranging training and placements for students

Standard Procedure of Placement Training and Career Guidance Cell

  1. Invite prospective companies to campus for training and recruitment.
  2. Students should register their names by submitting Students’ Data Sheet as per the prescribed format given by Department of Training and Placement Cell.
  3. All students must register and participate in the placement activities by seeking permission and send the same to the IQAC for approval.
  4. Campus placement is a facility provided for the students.
  5. The eligibility criteria for placement will be imposed by the visiting company will be the final.
  6. Department placement coordinator is the single point of contact for the concerned department Students.
  7. At the end of the academic year the annual & action taken report are to be submitted to IQAC.

Minutes of meeting Procedure

  1. All meetings shall be convened by the chairperson/convener with prior notice to all committee members.
  2. Minutes of meeting will be noted down by the convener and same will be discussed with committee members.
  3. It is compulsory for the members to attend the meeting.
  4. Maintenance of necessary records of the committee in a file: Notice/Photos/Statistical data /Minutes of meeting/Prepare brief report on events.
  5. Meeting: The Committee should meet at least once in every semester.
  6. Quorum:The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.
  7. Record Keeping: The agenda, minutes of meeting and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format (scanned copy).
  8. Reporting:A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC.
