Functions and Responsibilities
- To frame rules and regulations with an optimistic approach to impart discipline among the students on campus.
- To create awareness about ragging menace and ensure a student-friendly environment for superior learning.
- To uptake measures for inappropriate and disruptive behavior of students both in college premises and in the hostels.
- To achieve the goal of creating a safe and motivating environment through positive attitudes and best practices.
Objective
To ensure that students obey rules, remain orderly and peaceful in the pursuant of educational objectives/goals in the college community.
Standard Operating Procedure for Disciplinary Committee
- The committee is responsible to maintain and enforce strict discipline within the college campus.
- All the students should wear their ID Cards while they are in the campus and in their respective classrooms.
- Arrive to class on time with the necessary belongings. Late comers will not be allowed for the same class.
- In case of any violation of rules is found, immediately necessary to be taken by the committee Members.
- In case the attendance is found less than 75%, he /she will not be allowed to appear for the CIE and SEE.
- Student must pay stipulate fees within the given time span.
- Misbehavior of any student need to be reported with their parents and necessary action to be taken by the committee
- If any damage is caused to the college property by any student or by the group of students, the cost of the same will be recovered with a fine from the said student or group by the Disciplinary Committee.
- Smoking, chewing tobacco, consuming alcohol or taking drugs is strictly prohibited in the institute. Any student is found in inebriated condition; he / she will be suspended / expelled from the institute.
- At the end of the academic year the annual and action taken report are to be submitted to IQAC.
Minutes of meeting Procedure
- All meetings shall be convened by the chairperson/convener with prior notice to all committee members.
- Minutes of meeting will be noted down by the convener and same will be discussed with committee members.
- It is compulsory for the members to attend the meeting.
- Maintenance of necessary records of the committee in a file: Notice/Photos/Statistical data /Minutes of meeting/Prepare brief report on events.
- Meeting: The Committee should meet at least once in every semester.
- Quorum:The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.
- Record Keeping: The agenda, minutes of meeting and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format (scanned copy).
