Roles and Responsibilities
- CBIT canteen caters to the daily nutritional requirements of the students and staff at reasonable / subsidized prices.
- The canteen committee conducts regular meetings to monitor the hygiene, cleanliness, and menu for the canteen.
- The committee invites suggestions and addresses the grievances of the students and faculty members.
- To modernize the canteen equipment and cooking procedures.
- To maintain the canteen premises clean and hygiene.
Objective
To cater the daily nutritional requirements to the students and staff at reasonable / subsidized prices and to maintain the canteen premises clean and hygiene
Standard Operating Procedure for Canteen Committee
- Monitor the quality and hygiene of the food and beverages served in the canteen and address any concerns or complaints regarding the quality of food.
- Mediate and resolve conflicts or disputes among canteen staff and customers foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Regularly review and monitor the prices and make informed decisions to adjust prices to ensure affordability for students.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential issues.
- At the end of the academic year the annual & action taken report are to be submitted to IQAC.
Minutes of meeting Procedure
- All meetings shall be convened by the chairperson/convener with prior notice to all committee members.
- Minutes of meeting will be noted down by the convener and same will be discussed with committee members.
- It is compulsory for the members to attend the meeting.
- Maintenance of necessary records of the committee in a file: Notice/Photos/Statistical data /Minutes of meeting/Prepare brief report on events.
- Meeting: The Committee should meet at least once in every semester.
- Quorum:The quorum for the meeting shall be two-thirds of the total number of members.
- Record Keeping: The agenda, minutes of meeting and Action Taken Reports are to be documented with official signatures and maintained in a register and electronically in a retrievable format (scanned copy).
- Reporting:A copy of the same will be submitted to the IQAC of the college for preparation of various reports of IQAC.
